NEW GARDENS AND LAWNS:
1. Empty one bag per square metre to about 5cm deep.
2. Dig into soil to one spade depth.
3. Water in well.
EXISTING GARDENS:
1. Apply as a mulch at least 5cm deep in spring and early autumn.
2. If desired, lightly dig into the surface.
3. When using around shallow-rooted plants, such as azaleas, do not dig as this may result in root damage. Let the earthworms do the work.
4. Water in well.
EXISTING LAWNS:
1. Apply in spring and autumn as a thin topdressing about 5-10mm deep.
2. Work into lawn surface with a rake, ensuring that leaf tips are at least visible.
3. Water well.
4. For even better results, aerate the lawn beforehand using a lawn corer or garden fork.

FIRST AID
Irrigate eyes with plenty of water for 10 minutes. Wash the skin with soap and water. Seek medical attention for any persistent skin, eye or respiratory symptoms.
