Application Rate
Apply 20g per square metre (m2). One handful is approximately 40g (guide only).
When to Apply
Apply during any season of the year where your lawn is still actively growing. For best results, we recommend application in early spring, early summer and early autumn (every 8-12 weeks). In warmer regions, include an additional application in early winter. For sandy soils, apply at half rate and repeat every 6 weeks.
How to Apply
- Prepare Ensure the lawn is watered in well and allowed to dry before application.
- Measure the ground area and calculate the amount of Yates Lawn Fertiliser Quarterly required.
- Spread Using a sweeping arc motion, spread evenly at the recommended rate. In a criss-cross fashion, spread half the amount required walking in one diagonal direction and the remainder from the opposite direction.
- Clean Sweep product off driveways and paths onto lawn immediately after application. Product may stain hard surfaces when wet. Ensure hard surfaces are dry before application.
- Water Always water in well immediately after application.
Handy Tips for Best Results
Weather
Apply during fine weather, avoiding windy conditions and heavy rain. DO NOT APPLY if maximum temperature exceeds 30°C or when soil is dry, or lawn is moisture stressed.
Water
Ensure lawns are well watered before applying If hot conditions are expected following application, ensure you water well.
New Lawns
NOT recommended for lawns less than 8 weeks old. Use Yates Lawn Fertiliser for New Lawns instead.
Weeding
Wait for 12 weeks before applying Yates Weed'n'Feed® to keep your lawn 'barefoot ready'.
Patching
Did you know up to 25% of your lawn dies every year? Replace dead grass with Yates Seed'n'Feed®, which will thicken thin lawns or fix patches, plus feed your lawn at the same time.
