Yates Quick Fix Lawn Seed Fertiliser is a blend of nitrogen fertiliser, turf type annual ryegrass and creeping red fescue, suitable for reinvigorating an existing lawn, sowing a new lawn or patching and oversowing high traffic areas.

SOWING DATES
Best sow between September to November or April to May. Young grass will appear in 7 days, in favourable weather conditions, provided these sowing directions are followed. Young grass will appear in 14-21 days in unfavourable weather conditions.
SOWING RATES
- New lawn: 30g per square metre
- Oversowing: 20g per square metre
SOWING A NEW LAWN
- Remove perennial weeds, stones and rubbish before sowing. Dig to a depth of 15-22cm.
- For a first-rate lawn, top dress with lawn soil or quality garden loam.
- Produce a firm, level seed bed by raking and treading or rolling.
- If possible, leave seed bed for a few weeks before sowing, to allow weed seeds to germinate. Spray weeds with Yates Zero Rapid 1-Hour Action Weedkiller Ready to Use.
- Rake in Yates Dynamic Lifter Organic Lawn Food 4-5 days before sowing. Divide area to be sown into manageable sections (i.e. square metres).
- Shake the box to mix the seed and scatter evenly over each section. Sow half the seed in an east-west direction, then the other half in a north-south direction.
- After sowing, rake the seed into the soil. Lightly roll if possible.
- Water regularly with fine spray keeping the seed bed constantly moist until seed has germinated and is well established.
OVERSOWING AN EXISTING LAWN
- Closely mow the lawn. Scarify lawn using a spring tine rake to remove and break up layers of dead matted grass or thatch.
- Spike lawn with a fork, to a depth of at least 15cm, to eliminate compaction.
- Rake in Yates Dynamic Lifter Organic Lawn Food 4-5 days before sowing the grass seed.
- Grass seed can be mixed with equal proportions of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix to ensure even seed distribution.
- Shake the box to mix the seed and then scatter the seed evenly over the lawn to ensure a good blend with existing grass.
- For best results, sow after the lawn has been moistened.
- After sowing, rake area so that the seed comes into contact with moisture. This will improve germination. Lightly roll if possible.
- Water regularly with fine spray keeping the seed bed constantly moist until the seed has germinated and is well established.
