Vibrant coral-pink bells with a delicate pastel blush of peach positively drip from tall, stately stems. Foxgloves are the classic choice to add strong vertical accents to cottage garden borders. A strikingly beautiful statement as a cut flower.
Sow direct where they are to grow or in trays of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix. Press lightly into surface and keep moist.
For best colour and prolonged flowering, choose a lightly shaded, moist position. Add Yates Thrive Natural Blood & Bone before planting and feed regularly with Yates Thrive Flower & Fruit Soluble Plant Food. Water well during warm dry weather. Protect from snails and slugs.
Water regularly at base of plant to avoid fungal diseases. Remove central flower spike when blooms fade to encourage smaller side shoots to develop. Foxgloves are poisonous, so wear gloves when handling them. For longer lasting cut flowers, scald the freshly cut stem in near-boiling water for a couple of minutes.
Store in a cool dry place away from direct Sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
