To celebrate our 140th year in the seed business, we're excited to bring back some old, old favourites from our archives!
Pretty as a picture with its blushing rosy-pink exterior and crisp white flesh, this heirloom radish offers a crunchy texture and a lovely balance of sweetness and gentle spice. Quick and easy to grow. Superb sliced thinly into salads, sandwiches or wraps. Also ideal as a garnish.
Sow direct in a sunny, well drained position. Cover, firm down and moisten. Thin to 3-5 cm spacing after 2 weeks. Sow successive crops at 2 week intervals.
Cultivate soil well and mix in Yates Thrive® Natural Blood & Bone before sowing to help ensure a good crop. Once seedlings have established, feed weekly with Yates Thrive® Natural Fish Seaweed + Plant Food. Protect from snails and slugs.
Great to grow with other salad ingredients such as basil, lettuce, parsley, cucumber, beetroot and carrots. Harvest while roots are young and tender. Mulch well to retain even soil moisture.
Store in a cool dry place away from direct Sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
