Maturing in 55 to 65 days, this fast-growing, compact snowball variety has solid round white curds that grow to 15cm. With its slightly nutty flavour and crunchy texture, it’s a perfect addition to a range of dishes including roasts and stir fries, or delicious puréed for a hearty winter soup.

How
Sow into trays of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix. Firm down and keep moist. Transplant seedlings when about 7cm high.
Care
Choose a sunny, well-drained position where cabbages, cauliflowers have not grown for 2 years. Mix Yates Thrive Natural Blood & Bone into the soil before planting. Apply Yates Thrive All Purpose Soluble Fertiliser regularly for best growth. Protect from snails and slugs. Control leaf-eating caterpillars with Yates Success Ultra.
Hint
As the curd develops, fold leaves over the top to prevent yellowing. If smaller plants and heads are preferred, seedlings can be planted closer together than normal.
