Gnarled looking celeriac has a delicate taste, somewhere between celery and parsley. Try it raw shaved into a salad, mashed, slow roasted, in soup or French style in a remoulade sauce.
Raise in trays of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix, or sow direct where they are to grow. Cover with mix, firm down and keep moist. Transplant after 4-6 weeks.
Plant in a well-drained, Sunny position adding Yates Thrive Natural Blood & Bone to the soil before planting. Water regularly and apply fish-based fertiliser weekly. Protect from snails and slugs.
Water frequently and regularly - celeriac demands a lot of moisture. Apply mulch around the roots in dry weather, to help keep the soil moist.
Store in a cool dry place away from direct Sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
