The garden is beginning to give back all the hard work that's been put into it.
I'm so stoked with today's harvest, and I had enough to open my shed. I have enough produce at the moment to open up about once a week. When the summer goodies start coming in thick and fast I plan to be open 5 days a week having set days to make it easily for everyone.
Last season I opened every day, having the odd day off when I had something on. That was too often, especially for a one man band the majority of the time. It takes so much longer than I assumed it would, to harvest every morning, wash, dry and pack everything. Then also popping up what's available and prices on my Facebook page.
Todays harvest was - cabbage, broccoli, spinach, baby carrots, radishes, lettuce, mesclun, courgettes, scallopini, broad beans and silverbeet. I think salad will be on the menu tonight!
