One of my favourite things about growing my own vegetables is that I can grow vegetables you can't buy at the supermarket.
Giant snow peas are something I discovered last year and now they are a staple in my garden. The flowers are really pretty and the pods grow to the size of my hand and are crunchy and delicious either eaten raw or in stir fries.
Of course the other great thing about peas is you can save the seeds for the next crop.
