My next batch of silverbeet is ready for the eating... and the slugs and snails have certainly been sampling. I am fine with sharing though. By the time its all washed, chopped and cooked, no-one will ever know that the snails had first taste. These leaves are destined for a zucchini pie this week.
The first lot of silverbeet that I have let go to seed are now standing taller than me! which is rather filling up the garden - but I did this last year, and now I have a constant cycle of seedlings coming through without me doing a thing. The ultimate lazy gardener strategy.
And it is still raining.
