There are a few things I am trying to do better this year.
Composting is one of those things.
Currently I have a heap that just gets kitchen scraps and a few weeds flung at it every few days. The dogs (and no doubt the rats) do a bit of aeration, but it really doesn't amount to anything useful..... I know I can do better.
I am thinking my first step probably needs to be setting up a decent worm farm for the kitchen scraps and then composting everything else insitu - as Kath Irvine from "Edible Backyard" and her most excellent blog on the subject suggests:

I would be very interested in others composting set-ups...and what works??
