y climbing bean are starting to pick up steam and reach for the sky. It's been very windy here so the poor things have taken a bit of a battering.
We are not fond of scarlet runner beans although I have planted a few this year but the one's in the photo are Flagg climbing beans. A heritage variety which can be eaten fresh or dried for winter use.
I dried loads last year and have cooked them up in the pressure cooker and added them to soups, stews and things like nachos .
we would much rather eat dried beans than frozen so this works well for us.
