First year with a greenhouse and I've already started running out of room. While it would be great to have one that is 3 times bigger, this one was free so I am grateful for what we have.
The floor was getting full and our dog started showing interest in the bagged plants on the ground. The other issue is watering as things dry out so much faster.
I needed a solution for more shelving but that would not stop me growing tall crops later in the season.
So this is what I came up with. A wooden frame that holds these plastic stacking tubs. The tubs nestle in so they are safe. When removed, the frame can be used to string up tomatoes or cucumbers. Our daughters favourites.
I've drilled holes about 3cm up the sides of the tubs. The idea is that I can dip the tubs to water the plants all at once. I can then fully drain by tipping to one side or when we are going away, I can leave about a cm of water in so they don't die.
Killed 2 birds with 1 stone so to speak. Not that I condone bird killing.
