I have kept a tomato that grew randomly in a pot during the middle of winter. Why, just because I could ๐. It had a bit of a hard life, and from when I moved it from where it tried to grow it got some good soil and as good an amount of care that all my tomatoes get.
It was a little slower than the others, and gas remained small. Being from the end of the garden where the bird feeder is, I cannot tell where the seed came from, who it's parents are as may not even be from my garden.
The first ripe fruit came of it today. It is a dark cherry, about 30mm in diameter.
Flavour is really unusual. I had it with a touch of micro basil and 2 little sea salt flakes. Just a little note of sweetness, but dominant earthy creamy meaty tones that dark tomatoes normally have, not as much as black krim though.
I will keep seeds from the next one and se how that goes.
I also learnt how to do a collage ๐
