I couldn't think of better timing for our Royal Star Magnolia tree to bloom, with the passing of the Queen.
We bought this tree last year to remember our own Queen, Boom our beautiful dog who we lost. She's buried in the paddock just on the other side of this tree.
She was a beautiful natured dog, and got given to my husband as a working dog when he was working on his family farm. When we moved and she retired from farming, she had a great life being able to roam where ever she pleased on our property. And we never had to worry about her annoying our sheep.
She kept me company in garden and was always near, often having a munch on a fallen apple! I miss her greatly and so does the rest of my family, but it's so nice we can look at this tree and remember her.
