Last year in autumn I dug out my chili plants and over wintered them. I trimmed them right back and potted them up and kept them inside like pot plants. I watered them very rarely.
When the weather got warmer I planted them back in my greenhouse and they have really taken off with heaps of green chillies already on the plants.
It looks like I will have chillies for preserving and some to chuck in the freezer for winter use. It's a good way to get a head start with heat loving plants.
