I had a long list of things to do in the garden today. The edges need cutting again and the grass needs pulling out, I need to put some posts in so I can wack a green/shade house together to start some seeds in (we live in a tiny house so starting them on the window sill inside isn't ideal). I moved all my fruit trees into the veggie garden recently as they were so wind beaten, despite shade cloth, that they haven't grown in two years so they need a bit of mulch. However, a large shade umbrella my brother gifted us and installed the other day, lifted out of its stand in a gust of wind and settled itself down through my children's bedroom window. Being a tiny house, you can imagine smashed glass went everywhere so several hours were spent repairing the window and cleaning the glass away. I did get one tree planted in my wee veggie garden shelter belt and I put cardboard at the base of some of the fruit trees before we all took off to the beach with some takeaways for Father's Day.
