At the beginning of summer I sent some seeds to a seed library. They sent me some back and the tomato Blue Beauty was amongst them.
As the fist lot of seedlings had to be destroyed I got the opportunity to try these.
A small beefsteak tomato, which is what I am fond of. I rather lots of smaller tomatoes than loose the big ones to birds or bugs and end up with none. You also don't have to keep a half tomato in the fridge.
There is very little loose gel in the tomato, making it ideal for packed lunches (no soggy sandwiches). As to its flavour, it's just a traditional beefsteak tomato flavour.
This is one for next seasons line up!
