Managed to get the cucumbers in. This is the garden that I'm experimenting with sweet pea mulch.
At the back are the beans which are just starting to flower and the front and middle rows are cucumbers. We have 6 telegraph, 3 apple and 3 of the hybrid Lebanese ones that don't need pollinating.
This year we are trying something different by growing them up strings. I built two new bamboo frames that are screwed to waratahs for support. Similar to the tomato frame but this time I measured twice and made sure they were not bigger than my reach!
I know this sounds like a lot of cucumbers but we eat a lot and hope to give some to the neighbors too.
The good news is we are harvesting 1 cucumber a day at the moment from the greenhouse and they taste amazing. I swear they are almost sweet. Way different to store bought.
