There has been quite a bit of chat about patience in the last few blogs and I have been guilty of being a little impatient over the past few weeks. I did manage to hold off on planting out my tomatoes until this past weekend (although may regret it with 5 degree lows forecast for Whanganui later this week) but neglected to protect my dwarf beans from low temps a couple of weeks ago.
I had grown them for my son and daughter-in-laws garden as well as ours but I think they may have been hit by a light frost as they are looking a little the worse for wear. You can see them under the shelter in the photo, they really don't look happy. On the other hand our Swift potatoes in the tyres and the Agria in the ground are looking the picture of health - so one of these things is not like the other.
I have bought more dwarf bean seeds which I will sow in the next couple of days.
