A fire started across the rd and jumped into our paddocks , we had 6 fire crews and 3 choppers all over our place , it got pretty close to our house , but we fought it off with hoses and bucketed water out of our stock troughs . It still seems very surreal but a stark reminder that we were not as ready for that as we could have been , but we now have plans for a tank on a trailer with a petrol pump .
