Ideal for cool season planting, Kilaton delivers consistently large, dense and very tasty cabbages. Delicious in coleslaw, stir fries, braised or starring in a wintery one-pot stew. Tender, flavoursome heads weigh up to 2kg and store exceptionally well after harvest. If your garden has ever been struck by fungal clubroot, highly resistant Kilaton is purpose bred for the job.
For best results sow into trays of Yates® Black Magic® Seed Raising Mix. Firm down and keep moist. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle (4-6 weeks).
Choose a sunny, well-drained position. Prior to planting, mix Yates® Thrive® Natural Blood & Bone into soil. Apply Yates® Thrive® Natural Fish Blood & Bone for rapid, vigorous growth. Protect from snails and slugs. Control leaf-eating caterpillars with Yates® Success® Ultra.
Make successive sowings every few weeks, for a continuous harvest. Add Yates® Thrive® Natural Garden Lime to acid soils.
Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
