I hope everyone and their garden is surviving with this wild weather. We had to tie my vegepod cover down as it kept lifting off.
Over the weekend I separated and transplated my yellow tumbling tomatoes into bigger pots. In a previous blog I mentioned that some of my tomatoes were getting too leggy so I decided to try something new, and instead f getting rid of these seedlings I carefully bent the stems so that they were growing underneath some sowing in the hopes that this will create more roots and a stronger plant.
As you can see in my photo it did work!
So when I transplanted my tomatoes, I planted them quite deep so that most of the stem was underneath the soil to create a stronger and healthier plant. I only do this with tomatoes and not other seedlings.
Next weekend I plan to start gradually hardening off my tomatoes outside.
Stay safe everyone :)
